Yamaha Dirt Bike Graphics
The PW50 is the bike countless riders started on. With its automatic transmission and shaft drive, it's simple for young kids to ride, and parents keep them for years and pass them down.
Custom PW50 graphics are an easy way to make a hand-me-down feel brand new. The panels are small, so simple shapes, bright colors and your child's name work better than detailed artwork.
- Front fender and plate
- The most visible spot. A name here looks great in photos.
- Side covers
- Small panels. Keep shapes big and simple.
- Rear fender
- A good spot for a name or a fun pattern.
- Fork guards
- Tiny, but a nice place to repeat the main color.

The editor shows the flat PW50 kit sheet next to a live view of the bike. Place a design, paint single panels, type your number or drop in a logo, and the bike updates as you work.

- Mirror artwork across

PW50 Design Guide
Three short guides written for the PW50: how to plan the kit, where numbers go, and how to match it to your riding.

Designing a Yamaha PW50 graphics kit, step by step
The PW50 starts from white plastics, and the preview adds blue frame and rim hints, which gives you a clean canvas for almost any bright color. On panels this small, strong colors and simple shapes always beat detailed artwork. Start with the front fender and number plate, since that is the part everyone sees first and the part your child will notice most. Then move to the side covers and rear fender, keeping the same two or three colors throughout so the bike looks finished rather than patchy. Mirror the design so both sides match. Let your child choose the main color, then you can guide the rest. Finally, check both sides in the preview and zoom out, because small details often disappear on a bike this size.

Names, numbers and logos on the Yamaha PW50
For many young riders, seeing their own name on the bike is the best part of the whole project. On the PW50, the front plate is the obvious home for it, but the rear fender and side covers work too. Use a bold, rounded font that a young child can read and recognize, even if they are only just learning their letters. Keep the name short, or use a nickname, so it stays large instead of shrinking to fit. If your child is starting to race, add a number on the front plate and side covers, and check your local series for plate color rules. Small logos, like a family name or the local club, fit on the rear fender. A few well-placed elements look better than many tiny ones.

Making a Yamaha PW50 kit last (and grow with your rider)
PW50s are often passed between siblings, cousins and friends, so think about how the kit will age. Thick laminated vinyl holds up to tip-overs, being dragged across the yard and being cleaned with a hose after every ride. Busy patterns like splatter or camo hide scratches well. If the bike will be handed down, put the name on a separate decal that can be swapped, rather than building it into the main design. As your child grows, their taste will change quickly, and a fresh set of PW50 graphics is an easy way to make an older bike feel new again. Keeping a copy of your design means you can reorder a matching kit or change just the name and colors later.

How to Install Yamaha PW50 Graphics
You need a heat gun or hair dryer, a squeegee and isopropyl alcohol. Plan an hour or two for a full PW50 kit.
- 01Take the plastics offRemove the shrouds, fenders and plates from the PW50 and work on a clean bench. Loose panels are far easier to wrap than panels on the bike.
- 02Strip the old decalsWarm old graphics with a heat gun or hair dryer and peel them slowly at a low angle. Remove leftover adhesive with an adhesive remover.
- 03Clean and degreaseWash the plastics, then wipe them with isopropyl alcohol so no oil or silicone is left. Let them dry completely.
- 04Line up each graphicPeel back only the first few centimeters of backing, line the graphic up against the panel's edges and holes, and tack it down.
- 05Lay it from the middle outPull the backing off as you go and push the vinyl down from the center outward with a squeegee or your thumb, chasing air toward the edges.
- 06Heat the curves and edgesWarm the vinyl around tight curves and edges so it stretches and settles, then press the edges down firmly. Small panels are quick to do. Clean well, apply at room temperature, and press the edges down firmly, since kids' bikes get dropped and handled a lot. Thick laminated vinyl lasts longest.

Yamaha PW50 Graphics Kit FAQ
01Which bikes does this Yamaha PW50 graphics kit fit?
This is an artwork preview for the Yamaha PW50. Model years 2015–2026 are design references, not certified template compatibility. Have your printer confirm the exact year, installed plastics and cut lines. The YZ85 has its own page and kit.
02Does the PW50 kit fit the YZ85?
Bikes in the same Yamaha family often have similar plastics, but shapes can differ around the shrouds, side panels and plates. Use the kit made for your exact bike, and check with your printer before using one kit for two bikes.
03Should I put a race number or a name on a PW50?
Most young riders love seeing their name on the bike. You can add a number too if they're starting to race.
04Are PW50 decals durable enough for a beginner?
Good laminated vinyl handles tip-overs and scrapes well. Busy patterns like camo or splatter also hide scuffs.
05Are PW50 graphics the same as PW50 decals or a wrap?
Riders use all three words for the same thing: printed, die-cut vinyl that covers the PW50's plastics. A "kit" means the full set of panels designed to work together.
06Can I see the PW50 kit on the bike before I pay?
Yes. Designing and previewing are free. The 2D preview includes a front angle and a mirrored view; models with a 3D viewer can also be rotated in the designer.
07Can I add my child's name and number to the PW50?
Yes. Type it in the Text panel and place it on the plates in one click. Numbers read the right way on both sides of the bike, and you can add a name across the rear fender or the shrouds.
08Can I put my own logo or artwork on the kit?
Yes. Upload a sponsor logo, team badge or photo, place it on any panel, then scale, rotate and recolor it.
09Can I leave some panels plain?
Yes. Paint any panel a solid color, or clear the artwork from it. Plain plastics next to a busy shroud graphic often look the most professional.
10What do I get with the HD export?
Clean high-resolution preview images and a flat artwork sheet without a watermark. The PW50 export costs 30 credits; confirm physical dimensions and cut lines with your printer before printing.
11Is this a PW50 graphics kit I design myself?
Yes. You design it here, export the HD sheet, and have it printed and cut by the print shop of your choice. That keeps you in control of the design, the vinyl and the price.
12Can I share my PW50 design?
Yes. Create a share card or a link, and anyone can open the design and see it on the bike.
13How much does an AI design cost?
10 credits from a text prompt, or 20 credits from a photo. Credits come in one-time packs, from 200 credits for $9.90.
14Do credits expire?
No. Credits are a one-time purchase with no subscription, and they never expire.
