Dual Frame
One lens, full sensor. A portrait 9:16 and a landscape 16:9 cut from the same 4:3 frame, always in sync.
Portrait + landscape, one take.
CraftCam records a portrait 9:16 and a landscape 16:9 video at the same moment, from the full sensor and perfectly in sync. One take for TikTok, Reels and YouTube.
Isn't it just a crop?
Most dual-format apps record vertical, then cut a 16:9 strip out of the middle to fake a wide shot. In Dual Frame, CraftCam records the camera's full 4:3 frame and cuts both formats from it. The portrait uses the full height and the landscape the full width, so your wide shot really is wide.
One tap records both formats
9:16 and 16:9, perfectly in sync
No second phone
Wider than a crop of the portrait
Want two different framings instead? Dual Lens records the Wide and Ultra Wide lenses at the same time.

Three ways to shoot
One lens, full sensor. A portrait 9:16 and a landscape 16:9 cut from the same 4:3 frame, always in sync.
Portrait on the Wide lens, landscape on the Ultra Wide. Like carrying a second camera.
What you see and your reaction, together. Made for vlogs, walkthroughs and reviews.
What you actually get
Film it once and walk away with the file every platform wants. No reshoots, no cropping in post and no second phone.
Built-in teleprompter
Made for talking-head videos. Your script scrolls beside the lens at your speed, so you can look into the camera and stop re-taking lines. The text never appears in the video.
Shoot like a pro
Lock color temperature, tint, ISO and shutter, and keep them for next time. Record dual 4K at up to 60fps, with optional HLG HDR.
Dual-format photos
Tap the shutter for a 9:16 and a 16:9 photo at once. Photos are unlimited and never use your free takes.
Post everywhere
Every take is saved as a pair in your project. Watch both side by side, trim them together, then save to Photos or share them straight away.
Never lose a take
CraftCam writes your video as you record. If something goes wrong, it saves what you shot.
All the little things
The details that make filming on a phone feel like using a real camera.
Pricing
Start with five free takes in any mode, with no watermark and no account. Go Pro for unlimited recording and the full toolkit.
A real dual-format camera to try before you pay.
Everything unlocked. The same features on every plan.
Private by design
There's no account and no login, no ads in the app and no analytics SDKs. Recording, review and trimming all happen on your iPhone, and I never see your videos. The app only goes online to check purchases and, through Apple's privacy-safe ad attribution, to tell me which of my App Store ads work.
Quick answers
No. Dual Frame records the sensor's full 4:3 frame. The 9:16 uses its full height and the 16:9 uses its full width, so the landscape shows about a third more of the scene than a strip cut from a vertical video.
Each format is encoded as its own file. In HD you get 720×1280 portrait and 1280×720 landscape. With Pro 4K you get 2160×3840 and 3840×2160, at up to 60fps. HD uses H.264 for maximum compatibility, while 4K and HDR use HEVC.
CraftCam runs on iPhone with iOS 26.6 or later. Dual Frame works on every supported iPhone. Dual Lens needs an Ultra Wide camera, and both Dual Lens and Front & Back need an iPhone that can run two cameras at once. The app greys out any mode your phone can't run.
Never, on any plan, free included.
Everything you've recorded stays in the app and in Photos. To keep recording, choose Annual, Monthly or Lifetime. All three unlock the same features.
CraftCam writes your video as you record. If the app closes unexpectedly, it recovers the usable clips the next time it opens. If your phone gets too hot, it saves the recording and pauses the camera until it cools down.
No. The script is only on your screen and is never recorded.
A note from the maker
She makes videos, and every one had to be filmed twice: vertical for TikTok and Reels, then again horizontal for YouTube. Same script, same light, twice the work.
So I built her a camera that does both at once. CraftCam records both formats from the full sensor in a single take, with a teleprompter right by the lens so she can stop re-recording her lines.
Now it's here for you too, with no account, no ads and no tracking. If something doesn't work, or you have an idea, email me. I read every message.
