Yamaha Dirt Bike Graphics
The YZ125 is one of the best-known two-strokes in motocross and a favorite for riders who love a light, revvy bike. For 2022 it got slimmer bodywork in line with Yamaha's modern four-strokes.
The new shrouds are tighter and more angular than before, so a YZ125 graphics kit with lines that follow the panel edges looks right at home. Retro speed-block designs are also a popular nod to Yamaha's two-stroke history.
- Radiator shrouds
- The main canvas. Follow the angle of the leading edge.
- Side panels
- Room for a number or name above the pipe area.
- Rear fender
- Slim and long. Good for a pattern or name.
- Front plate
- Classic white with a blue number, or go retro yellow.

YZ125 Design Guide
Three short guides written for the YZ125: how to plan the kit, where numbers go, and how to match it to your riding.

Designing a Yamaha YZ125 graphics kit, step by step
Most YZ125 kits start from Yamaha blue, but the little two-stroke also wears retro yellow, white and black very well. The preview shows white frame and rim hints, so blue and white make a clean pair, and any dark base should include a touch of white or light gray to link it to the chassis. Begin with the radiator shrouds and keep the main lines aligned to their leading edges, since the slimmer bodywork leaves less room for wide shapes. Then work on the side panels, remembering that the expansion chamber and silencer run along the right side, so that panel shows less of your artwork than the left. Mirror where you can, then check both sides in the preview to make sure the pipe side still looks finished.

Race numbers and sponsor logos on the Yamaha YZ125
Many YZ125 riders race in 125 or schoolboy-style classes, where plate color rules differ from series to series, so confirm yours before you design anything. If you have a free choice, white plates with dark blue numbers or black plates with white numbers both read well. The side panels are slimmer than on bigger bikes, so choose a compact, bold font that fits two or three digits without shrinking them. Avoid placing the number too low on the right side, where the pipe can block the view from trackside. Sponsor logos work well on the upper shrouds and the rear fender. Keep them simple, because the YZ125's smaller panels fill up quickly, and a crowded layout makes an already small bike look even smaller.

Matching the Yamaha YZ125 kit to how you ride
The YZ125 serves several kinds of riders: young racers moving up from minis, adults rediscovering two-strokes, and riders who simply love the sound and feel of a light bike. Young racers usually want a factory look with their name and number, which builds confidence and makes them easy to spot. Returning adults often prefer schemes inspired by classic Yamaha two-strokes, such as yellow speed blocks or white with blue accents. If you ride purely for fun, a darker scheme with one blue element looks modern and hides wear. Two-strokes leave oily residue around the rear of the bike, so a glossy laminate that wipes clean is a practical choice. YZ125 decals that reflect your style keep the bike feeling personal as your riding progresses.

How to Install Yamaha YZ125 Graphics
You need a heat gun or hair dryer, a squeegee and isopropyl alcohol. Plan an hour or two for a full YZ125 kit.
- 01Take the plastics offRemove the shrouds, fenders and plates from the YZ125 and work on a clean bench. Loose panels are far easier to wrap than panels on the bike.
- 02Strip the old decalsWarm old graphics with a heat gun or hair dryer and peel them slowly at a low angle. Remove leftover adhesive with an adhesive remover.
- 03Clean and degreaseWash the plastics, then wipe them with isopropyl alcohol so no oil or silicone is left. Let them dry completely.
- 04Line up each graphicPeel back only the first few centimeters of backing, line the graphic up against the panel's edges and holes, and tack it down.
- 05Lay it from the middle outPull the backing off as you go and push the vinyl down from the center outward with a squeegee or your thumb, chasing air toward the edges.
- 06Heat the curves and edgesWarm the vinyl around tight curves and edges so it stretches and settles, then press the edges down firmly. Two-stroke side panels can get hot near the pipe. Clean them well, apply carefully at room temperature, and let the adhesive cure for a day before a hard ride.

Yamaha YZ125 Graphics Kit FAQ
01Which bikes does this Yamaha YZ125 graphics kit fit?
This is an artwork preview for the Yamaha YZ125. Model years 2022–2026 are design references, not certified template compatibility. Have your printer confirm the exact year, installed plastics and cut lines. The YZ450F and YZ250F have their own page and kit.
02Does the YZ125 kit fit the YZ450F and YZ250F?
Bikes in the same Yamaha family often have similar plastics, but shapes can differ around the shrouds, side panels and plates. Use the kit made for your exact bike, and check with your printer before using one kit for two bikes.
03Will older YZ125 graphics fit the 2022-on bike?
No. The 2022 update changed the bodywork, so choose YZ125 decals made for your generation.
04Does a YZ125 kit fit the YZ250 two-stroke?
The two-strokes are often similar, but not always on the same plastics generation. Check with your printer before ordering.
05Are YZ125 graphics the same as YZ125 decals or a wrap?
Riders use all three words for the same thing: printed, die-cut vinyl that covers the YZ125's plastics. A "kit" means the full set of panels designed to work together.
06Can I see the YZ125 kit on the bike before I pay?
Yes. Designing and previewing are free. The 2D preview includes a front angle and a mirrored view; models with a 3D viewer can also be rotated in the designer.
07Can I add my race number and name to the YZ125?
Yes. Type it in the Text panel and place it on the plates in one click. Numbers read the right way on both sides of the bike, and you can add a name across the rear fender or the shrouds.
08Can I put my own logo or artwork on the kit?
Yes. Upload a sponsor logo, team badge or photo, place it on any panel, then scale, rotate and recolor it.
09Can I leave some panels plain?
Yes. Paint any panel a solid color, or clear the artwork from it. Plain plastics next to a busy shroud graphic often look the most professional.
10What do I get with the HD export?
Clean high-resolution preview images and a flat artwork sheet without a watermark. The YZ125 export costs 30 credits; confirm physical dimensions and cut lines with your printer before printing.
11Is this a YZ125 graphics kit I design myself?
Yes. You design it here, export the HD sheet, and have it printed and cut by the print shop of your choice. That keeps you in control of the design, the vinyl and the price.
12Can I share my YZ125 design?
Yes. Create a share card or a link, and anyone can open the design and see it on the bike.
13How much does an AI design cost?
10 credits from a text prompt, or 20 credits from a photo. Credits come in one-time packs, from 200 credits for $9.90.
14Do credits expire?
No. Credits are a one-time purchase with no subscription, and they never expire.
