How to install dirt bike graphics without bubbles

A good install is mostly prep. Most bubbles and lifting edges come from wax, old adhesive or rushing the curves.

1. Strip and clean

Peel the old decals with a little heat. Remove leftover adhesive with an adhesive remover, then wipe every panel with isopropyl alcohol until it no longer feels waxy.

2. Dry fit first

Hold each piece in place with the backing still on. Line up the bolt holes and edges so you know exactly where it goes.

3. Work from the middle

Peel back part of the liner, tack the center of the decal, and push outward with a squeegee. Keep the rest of the liner on until you need it.

4. Heat the curves

Warm the vinyl with a heat gun or hair dryer on curves and edges so it stretches and conforms. Don't overheat; warm to the touch is enough.

5. Let it cure

Give the adhesive a day before washing or riding hard. Pressure-wash from a distance and never aim at the edges.
