Kawasaki Dirt Bike Graphics
The KX450 is Kawasaki's flagship motocross bike, recognizable from across the track by its lime green plastics. The latest update sharpened the bodywork with more aggressive, angular shrouds.
Lime green is one of the boldest stock colors in motocross, and many riders lean into it with black and white. Others go the opposite way and use green only as a thin accent on a dark kit.
- Radiator shrouds
- Sharp edges and a strong forward angle. Speed lines and shards suit them.
- Tank shrouds
- Good for a contrasting color block.
- Rear fender
- Long and rising, nice for a name or a fading pattern.
- Front plate
- Green bikes often run a black plate with a white or green number.

KX450 Design Guide
Three short guides written for the KX450: how to plan the kit, where numbers go, and how to match it to your riding.

Designing a KX450 graphics kit, step by step
Kawasaki lime green is so bold that your first choice is whether to embrace it or tame it. If you keep the green base, plan black and white areas to give it structure; if you go dark, start by switching the base to black and use green only for edges and details. The wide shrouds are the place to commit, so design them first with a strong forward-pointing shape, then pick up that shape on the rear fender and the front fender. Mirror the right side onto the left and check that diagonal lines still point toward the front. The KX450 runs a bare aluminum frame and dark rims, so set those in the editor first and check that your green panels still stand out against the silver. Review the preview from both sides and from a distance.

Race numbers and sponsor logos on the KX450
Green bikes have a long tradition of black number plates with white or lime digits, and it is hard to beat for contrast on a KX450. If your series requires a white background for the 450 class, add a thin black outline to the digits to keep them crisp against the green bodywork around them. The side plates on the KX450 are moderately sized, so a bold, wide font without decorative serifs works best. Use the wide shrouds for your main sponsor or your name in large letters, and save smaller logos for the tank shrouds and the rear fender. Fork guards and the swingarm work well for repeating a single brand. Before ordering KX450 decals, check that no logo sits across the fold lines of the shrouds, where it can look bent.

Matching the KX450 kit to how you ride
Lime green looks fantastic when it is clean and shows dirt quickly when it is not, so your riding conditions matter. On dusty hard-pack tracks a gloss green kit stays bright and is easy to wipe down between motos. On muddy or clay tracks, consider black lower shrouds and a dark front fender, which hide staining while the upper panels keep the classic green look. Riders who scrub jumps and lean into flat turns wear the shroud edges by the knees first, so avoid placing fine details there. A matte black kit with gloss green accents is a popular contrast of textures that looks good even when slightly worn. If you ride mostly at night or under cloudy skies, brighter whites and neon touches help the bike stand out on camera.

How to Install Kawasaki KX450 Graphics
You need a heat gun or hair dryer, a squeegee and isopropyl alcohol. Plan an hour or two for a full KX450 kit.
- 01Take the plastics offRemove the shrouds, fenders and plates from the KX450 and work on a clean bench. Loose panels are far easier to wrap than panels on the bike.
- 02Strip the old decalsWarm old graphics with a heat gun or hair dryer and peel them slowly at a low angle. Remove leftover adhesive with an adhesive remover.
- 03Clean and degreaseWash the plastics, then wipe them with isopropyl alcohol so no oil or silicone is left. Let them dry completely.
- 04Line up each graphicPeel back only the first few centimeters of backing, line the graphic up against the panel's edges and holes, and tack it down.
- 05Lay it from the middle outPull the backing off as you go and push the vinyl down from the center outward with a squeegee or your thumb, chasing air toward the edges.
- 06Heat the curves and edgesWarm the vinyl around tight curves and edges so it stretches and settles, then press the edges down firmly. Kawasaki's angular shrouds have flat faces separated by hard folds. Apply one face at a time, then use heat to bend the vinyl over each fold instead of stretching it across.

Kawasaki KX450 Graphics Kit FAQ
01Which bikes does this Kawasaki KX450 graphics kit fit?
This is an artwork preview for the Kawasaki KX450. Model years 2024–2026 are design references, not certified template compatibility. Have your printer confirm the exact year, installed plastics and cut lines. The KX250 has its own page and kit.
02Will this kit fit an older KX450?
The model-year guide lists references for 2024–2026. Do not infer fit for an older bike from the preview. Check its installed plastics and a matching printer template before production.
03Do I have to use green on a KX450?
No. Plenty of riders go all black, white or even purple. Keeping a little green is a nice nod to the brand, but it's your bike.
04Does the KX450 kit fit the KX250?
Kawasaki sometimes shares bodywork between the two, but not always within the same year. Confirm fit with your printer.
05Are KX450 graphics the same as KX450 decals or a wrap?
Riders use all three words for the same thing: printed, die-cut vinyl that covers the KX450's plastics. A "kit" means the full set of panels designed to work together.
06Can I see the KX450 kit on the bike before I pay?
Yes. Designing and previewing are free. The 2D preview includes a front angle and a mirrored view; models with a 3D viewer can also be rotated in the designer.
07Can I add my race number and name to the KX450?
Yes. Type it in the Text panel and place it on the plates in one click. Numbers read the right way on both sides of the bike, and you can add a name across the rear fender or the shrouds.
08Can I put my own logo or artwork on the kit?
Yes. Upload a sponsor logo, team badge or photo, place it on any panel, then scale, rotate and recolor it.
09Can I leave some panels plain?
Yes. Paint any panel a solid color, or clear the artwork from it. Plain plastics next to a busy shroud graphic often look the most professional.
10What do I get with the HD export?
Clean high-resolution preview images and a flat artwork sheet without a watermark. The KX450 export costs 30 credits; confirm physical dimensions and cut lines with your printer before printing.
11Is this a KX450 graphics kit I design myself?
Yes. You design it here, export the HD sheet, and have it printed and cut by the print shop of your choice. That keeps you in control of the design, the vinyl and the price.
12Can I share my KX450 design?
Yes. Create a share card or a link, and anyone can open the design and see it on the bike.
13How much does an AI design cost?
10 credits from a text prompt, or 20 credits from a photo. Credits come in one-time packs, from 200 credits for $9.90.
14Do credits expire?
No. Credits are a one-time purchase with no subscription, and they never expire.
