KTM Dirt Bike Graphics

The 300 SX is KTM's fuel-injected 300 two-stroke motocrosser, built on the current generation of SX plastics. It has the same long, flat side panels and angular shrouds as the rest of the SX range.

Big two-strokes have a cult following, and riders often give them a look with some attitude. A 300 SX graphics kit can go loud with flames and splatter, or dark and clean with orange pinstripes.

300 SX Design Guide

Three short guides written for the 300 SX: how to plan the kit, where numbers go, and how to match it to your riding.

Designing a KTM 300 SX graphics kit, step by step

The 300 SX is a big two-stroke with a cult following, and many owners want a kit that sets it apart from the far more common 125s and 250s in the pits. Start with the base: orange is classic, but stealth black, charcoal or olive camo suit the bike's character just as well. The preview shows dark frame and rim hints, so dark designs look sleek and orange designs look factory. Design the radiator shrouds first, then extend the lines along the side plates. On the right side, the expansion chamber runs close to the panel, so check that your artwork still reads well there and does not rely on detail low down. Mirror the layout where possible, and review both sides in the preview before ordering.

Numbers & logos

Race numbers and sponsor logos on the KTM 300 SX

The 300 SX often races in open or vet classes, and plate rules vary by series, so check yours before you lock in a background. If you have a free choice, a black plate with orange or white numbers looks sharp on this bike. Use a wide, heavy font with generous spacing between digits, because thin numbers fill in quickly once mud starts flying. On the side panels, place the number toward the front and keep it clear of the lower edge on the pipe side. Sponsor logos sit best on the upper shrouds and rear fender. Vet riders often have a handful of personal supporters, such as a local shop, a tuner or their own business, so a simple, uniform logo layout keeps the bike looking clean.

Ride it

Matching the KTM 300 SX kit to how you ride

Many 300 SX owners are experienced riders who enjoy a strong, torquey two-stroke on the track and sometimes away from it. If you mostly race motocross, a clean, factory-style design with bold numbers works well and keeps the focus on your plates. If you also ride rocky trails or rough practice tracks, dark designs with camo or carbon-fiber textures hide scratches and roost marks far better than bright white. Riders who keep a bike for many seasons should invest in thicker laminated vinyl and a design they will not tire of after a few months. Because the 300 SX is less common at the track, a distinctive look makes it even more recognizable. Choose 300 SX graphics that match your personality, whether loud and bold or dark and understated.

How to Install KTM 300 SX Graphics

You need a heat gun or hair dryer, a squeegee and isopropyl alcohol. Plan an hour or two for a full 300 SX kit.

  1. 01
Take the plastics offRemove the shrouds, fenders and plates from the 300 SX and work on a clean bench. Loose panels are far easier to wrap than panels on the bike.
  2. 02
Strip the old decalsWarm old graphics with a heat gun or hair dryer and peel them slowly at a low angle. Remove leftover adhesive with an adhesive remover.
  3. 03
Clean and degreaseWash the plastics, then wipe them with isopropyl alcohol so no oil or silicone is left. Let them dry completely.
  4. 04
Line up each graphicPeel back only the first few centimeters of backing, line the graphic up against the panel's edges and holes, and tack it down.
  5. 05
Lay it from the middle outPull the backing off as you go and push the vinyl down from the center outward with a squeegee or your thumb, chasing air toward the edges.
  6. 06
Heat the curves and edgesWarm the vinyl around tight curves and edges so it stretches and settles, then press the edges down firmly. Warm the shroud creases and press the vinyl in with your thumb. Make sure side panels are free of oil and residue before you start.

Styles That Suit the 300 SX

KTM 300 SX Graphics Kit FAQ

01

Which bikes does this KTM 300 SX graphics kit fit?

This is an artwork preview for the KTM 300 SX. Model years 2023–2026 are design references, not certified template compatibility. Have your printer confirm the exact year, installed plastics and cut lines. The 450 SX-F, 250 SX-F, 125 SX and 250 SX have their own page and kit.

02

Will this kit fit an older 300 SX?

The model-year guide lists references for 2023–2026. Do not infer fit for an older bike from the preview. Check its installed plastics and a matching printer template before production.

03

Does a 300 SX kit fit the 125 SX or 250 SX?

KTM's two-stroke SX models are often similar within a generation. Check with your printer before ordering one kit for several bikes.

04

Will 300 SX decals fit the 300 XC or EXC?

Off-road models can use different plastics, lights and side panels. Design on the exact model you ride.

05

Are 300 SX graphics the same as 300 SX decals or a wrap?

Riders use all three words for the same thing: printed, die-cut vinyl that covers the 300 SX's plastics. A "kit" means the full set of panels designed to work together.

06

Can I see the 300 SX kit on the bike before I pay?

Yes. Designing and previewing are free. The 2D preview includes a front angle and a mirrored view; models with a 3D viewer can also be rotated in the designer.

07

Can I add my race number and name to the 300 SX?

Yes. Type it in the Text panel and place it on the plates in one click. Numbers read the right way on both sides of the bike, and you can add a name across the rear fender or the shrouds.

08

Can I put my own logo or artwork on the kit?

Yes. Upload a sponsor logo, team badge or photo, place it on any panel, then scale, rotate and recolor it.

09

Can I leave some panels plain?

Yes. Paint any panel a solid color, or clear the artwork from it. Plain plastics next to a busy shroud graphic often look the most professional.

10

What do I get with the HD export?

Clean high-resolution preview images and a flat artwork sheet without a watermark. The 300 SX export costs 30 credits; confirm physical dimensions and cut lines with your printer before printing.

11

Is this a 300 SX graphics kit I design myself?

Yes. You design it here, export the HD sheet, and have it printed and cut by the print shop of your choice. That keeps you in control of the design, the vinyl and the price.

12

Can I share my 300 SX design?

Yes. Create a share card or a link, and anyone can open the design and see it on the bike.

13

How much does an AI design cost?

10 credits from a text prompt, or 20 credits from a photo. Credits come in one-time packs, from 200 credits for $9.90.

14

Do credits expire?

No. Credits are a one-time purchase with no subscription, and they never expire.
